Terms of use

These terms govern access to https://unanimovie.com and the Unanimovie voting service. By creating a room, joining one, or voting, you accept them.

Purpose

Unanimovie lets a person, couple, or group suggest movies from a catalog (TMDB, watch region from your location or settings) and vote No, Maybe, or Yes until there is consensus. The service is free, with no email signup.

Access

A technical anonymous ID is created in the browser to attach your votes to a session. You choose a nickname visible to other room members. You are responsible for what you enter (no insults, hate speech, or other people’s personal data).

A room is identified by a code and a link. Anyone with the link can try to join until it expires. Share the link only with the people involved.

Room lifetime

A room expires 7 days after creation. Votes and the ranking are no longer available after that.

Movie catalog

Movie pages (titles, posters, ratings, platforms) come from third parties (TMDB, JustWatch). Unanimovie does not guarantee completeness, freshness, or that a title is actually on your streaming plan. The service may stop if those APIs are unavailable.

Conduct

You may not use the service to spam, bypass technical limits, scrape the catalog at scale, or harm other users. The publisher may expire or disable a room in case of abuse.

Intellectual property

Unanimovie remains the owner of the interface and software. Movie content remains the property of rights holders and data providers. Voting grants you no rights over that content.

Liability

The service is provided “as is”. The publisher is not liable for a disagreement in the group, an unavailable movie, a network outage, or lost votes after a room expires. Nothing here excludes liability that cannot be excluded under French law (gross negligence, fraud, bodily injury).

Personal data

Data processing is described in the privacy policy.

Changes

These terms may be updated. The date at the top of the page prevails. Continued use after a change amounts to acceptance, within the limits of applicable law.

Governing law

These terms are governed by French law. In case of a dispute, and after attempting an amicable resolution at contact@unanimovie.com, the competent French courts will hear the case, subject to mandatory consumer-protection rules.
